The Council of Rimini, held in 359 AD, was a significant church synod in early Christianity. It was convened to address the Arian controversy, a theological dispute about the nature of the Son in relation to the Father. This council was one of several efforts to resolve the division within the Church, though its outcome favored the Arian perspective, which was controversial and led to further tensions.
