University of Auckland

The University of Auckland was established on May 23, 1883, as Auckland University College, part of the University of New Zealand. The university started out offering only a few courses in the arts and sciences, with enrollment under 100 students. Over the years, the University of Auckland has grown to become New Zealand's largest university, offering a comprehensive range of degree programs and becoming a center for research and academic excellence.
