Mike Crapo

Michael Dean Crapo was born on May 20, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He grew up in a family that emphasized public service and community involvement, setting the stage for his future career in politics. Mike Crapo would go on to become a prominent political figure as a U.S. Senator representing Idaho, a role characterized by his focus on fiscal responsibility and conservative values.

In 1992, Mike Crapo was elected to represent Idaho's 2nd congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. Mike Crapo was first elected to the United States Senate in 1998, becoming the first person in Idaho history to be elected to both houses of Congress.
