World Expo 2000 in Hannover
The Expo 2000 was a world's fair held in Hannover, Germany from June 1 to October 31, 2000. It was the first world exposition to be held in Germany and focused on the theme of 'Humankind - Nature - Technology,' promoting sustainable development and ecological projects. The exposition covered an area of 160 hectares and included participants from 155 countries, as well as numerous companies and organizations. Despite high expectations, the event struggled with lower than anticipated attendance, resulting in significant financial losses. Nevertheless, it marked a significant cultural event for Hannover, leaving behind numerous infrastructures and facilities that were used for future events and exhibitions.
