Karun Chandhok

On January 19, 1984, Karun Chandhok was born in Madras, now Chennai, India. He grew up in a family passionate about motorsport, as his father Vicky Chandhok was a multiple national rally champion and president of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India. Karun would carry on the legacy, developing into a prominent racing driver and motorsport analyst over the years.

Karun Chandhok made his Formula One debut at the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix with the HRT F1 Team. Despite the car's lack of pace and reliability, Chandhok showed determination and perseverance in his first-ever F1 race season. He became the second Indian driver to compete in Formula One, making a significant mark in Indian motorsport history.

On July 25, 2010, Karun Chandhok competed in what would be his final race of the 2010 Formula One season at the German Grand Prix.
