Jean Todt

Jean Todt was born on February 25, 1946, in Pierrefort, a commune in the Cantal department of France. He showed an early interest in motorsports, which set the stage for a remarkable career spanning roles as a rally co-driver, racing team manager, and eventually as a prominent executive in the world of motorsport, including his significant impact on Formula One.

Jean Todt took on the role of Director of Racing at Peugeot on March 5, 1982. This position allowed Todt to demonstrate his leadership abilities by overseeing Peugeot's highly successful World Rally Championship program in the 1980s. Under his guidance, Peugeot won numerous titles, and this laid the groundwork for Todt's future successes in motorsport management.

In July 1993, Jean Todt joined Scuderia Ferrari as the General Manager. His arrival marked the beginning of a transformative era for the team. Todt played a crucial role in restructuring the team and securing top talents, including Michael Schumacher. Under his management, Ferrari became one of the most dominant teams in Formula One, winning multiple Constructors' and Drivers' Championships.

On February 13, 2015, under the leadership of Jean Todt, the FIA launched a new global road safety awareness campaign aimed at reducing road fatalities worldwide. On December 8, 2017, Jean Todt was re-elected as President of the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), marking his third term in the position.
