Beginning of her Movie Career


Yvonne Nelson began her acting career in the movie industry after participating in the maiden edition of the "Miss Ghana" beauty pageant in 2005. After the contest, she was approached by a producer to feature in her first movie, "Princess Tyra." The movie, which was released in 2007, showcased Yvonne's talent and marked the beginning of her acting career.

Over the years, Yvonne Nelson has won several awards and nominations for her acting expertise."House of Gold" went on to win the prestigious Best Picture award at the Ghana Movie Awards and was also recognized as the Best Ghanaian Movie at the 2013 City People Entertainment Awards. In 2010, she won the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the Ghana Movie Awards for her performance in "Heart of Men." She also won the award for Best Lead Actress in a Ghanaian Movie at the City People Entertainment Awards in 2012.
