His educational journey began at Tetrem Secondary School, where he earned his GCE O Level certification. He furthered his education at St. Augustine's College, achieving a GCE A-Level certificate. Aidoo's commitment to learning did not stop there; he went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Entrepreneurship from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in 2005.
William Owuraku Aidoo's career is diverse, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to public service. From 1991 to 1994, he served as a Senior Superintendent at the Ghana Commercial Bank, contributing to the nation's financial sector. While working at the bank, Aidoo served as a lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba, from 2009 to 2012, sharing his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of leaders. Aidoo was the Managing Director of Kucons Company Limited, a construction company that was actively involved in the construction and rehabilitation of dams.
William Aidoo entered parliament on January 7, 2013, representing the Afigya Kwabre South constituency as a member of the NPP.
He contested the parliamentary seat again in the 2016 elections and emerged victorious. In the 2020 election, William was reelected to the 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, reaffirming his dedication to public service.
In recognition of his expertise and commitment, William Owuraku Aidoo currently serves as the Deputy Minister for Energy, playing a crucial role in shaping Ghana's energy policies and initiatives.
