Vic Seixas

Victor Seixas Jr., commonly known as Vic Seixas, was born on August 30, 1923, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He became one of the most successful American tennis players in the 1950s, known for his powerful serve and volley style. Seixas enjoyed a long and distinguished career during which he claimed numerous titles, including multiple Grand Slam victories, and represented the United States in the Davis Cup.

In 1951, Vic Seixas teamed up with Mervyn Rose to win the men's doubles title at the U.S. National Championships, which took place in Forest Hills, New York.
