Tommy Docherty

Tommy Docherty was born on April 24, 1928, in Gorbals, Glasgow, Scotland. He grew up amidst the tough surroundings of Glasgow and started his journey in football which later made him a prominent figure in English and Scottish football as both a player and a manager.

Tommy Docherty joined Arsenal Football Club in 1955, where he played as a wing half. Known for his robust playing style and leadership skills, his time at Arsenal contributed significantly to his development as a footballer and his later transition into football management.
