Thomas Partey, born on June 13, 1993, in Odumase Krobo, Ghana.

Thomas Partey, born in Krobo Odumase, began his football career at local club Odometah before joining Atlético Madrid's youth academy in 2012 and later being called up to the main squad in 2013, although he did not play in the match against Real Sociedad.

After being loaned to Mallorca, Thomas Partey made his professional debut in a 0-4 defeat against Sabadell on August 18, 2013, and scored his first professional goal on September 15, 2013, in a 2-2 draw against Hércules; subsequently, he joined Almería on loan and scored his first goals in La Liga with a brace in a 3-0 victory over Granada on April 11, 2015.

After making his debut for Atlético Madrid in November 2015 and scoring his first league goal in January 2016, Thomas Partey extended his contract with the club in 2017 and 2018, played in the UEFA Champions League Final in May 2016, won the UEFA Europa League in May 2018, and contributed to Atlético's La Liga-winning season in 2020-2021 before leaving the club.

Thomas Partey made his debut for the Ghana national team in May 2016 and scored his first international hat-trick in September 2017; he represented Ghana in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and was named Ghana Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019, subsequently being appointed as the team's vice-captain for the Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Thomas Partey signed a long-term contract with Arsenal in October 2020, expressing his desire to help the club regain its former glory and crediting manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu for his decision; he made his debut as a substitute against Manchester City, suffered injuries throughout the season, and scored his first goal for Arsenal in a win against Aston Villa in October 2021, earning the club's player of the month award in February 2022.

In March 2022, Thomas Partey converted to Islam due to his Moroccan girlfriend and reportedly changed his first name to Yakubu as part of his religious conversion, but later reverted to his original name. Additionally, in June 2022, he was honored by the Manya Krobo people of Ghana and made a chief for leading the national team to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
