A Ghanaian Football Star
Thomas Agyepong, a talented Ghanaian professional footballer, has been carving his path to success in the world of soccer. Born on October 10, 1996, in Accra, Ghana, Agyepong has showcased his skills as a winger for various clubs on loan from Manchester City.
In 2015, Agyepong caught the attention of Manchester City scouts and joined the club from the Right to Dream Academy. He made his debut as a substitute on October 4th in a match against AZ Alkmaar. Subsequently, he was loaned to FC Twente for the 2015-16 Eredivisie season. Unfortunately, his season was cut short due to a shoulder injury that required surgery.
Undeterred by setbacks, Agyepong joined NAC Breda on loan for the 2016-17 season. He made an impact with the club, scoring his first goal in a 3-1 victory over Almere City.
Agyepong's talents were recognized once again when he was loaned to Scottish Premiership club Hibernian in August 2018. However, a knee injury hampered his playing time during the 2018-19 season.
Continuing his loan journey, Agyepong moved to Belgian First Division A club Waasland-Beveren in August 2019. He spent the 2019-20 season there, showcasing his skills and contributing to the team's performance. Agyepong's loan spells have not only provided him with valuable experience but also highlighted his versatility as a player.
In October 2020, Agyepong and teammate Aminu Mohammed joined Belgian First Division B side Lommel on loan until the end of the 2020–21 season; Lommel, like his parent club, is owned by City Football Group.
Agyepong's talent extends beyond domestic leagues, as he has represented his country on the international stage. He made his debut for the Ghana national team in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Ethiopia. Agyepong's inclusion in the national team demonstrates his prowess and the trust placed in him by the Ghanaian football community.
