Suleman Adamu Sanid was born on Friday, November 13, 1970, in Worikambo, a town in the Garu-Tempane District of the Upper East Region of Ghana.
In 1988, Suleman completed his WAEC Ordinary Level examinations. He furthered his education by earning a Bachelor of Arts (History) from the University of Ghana - Legon in 1997. Mr. Sanid's pursuit of knowledge did not stop there. In 2011, he obtained an MBA in Marketing from the Central University in Accra.
Suleman Adamu Sanid worked at the Volta River Authority, holding key positions such as Acting Manager for Akosombo Area HR, Acting Manager for Organizational Development and Management System, Administrator at VoltaCom, and Principal HR Officer. His tenure at the Volta River Authority spanned from 1999 to 2016, demonstrating his dedication to public service and the management of critical infrastructure in Ghana.
Suleman Adamu Sanid is an esteemed member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), a political organization renowned for its commitment to fostering development and progress in Ghana. His political journey commenced with a resounding victory in the 2016 General Election when he secured his place in the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. Mr. Sanid garnered 18,895 votes, representing 51.11% of the total, to defeat his main contender from the National Democratic Congress, Kwasi Adusei, who received 14,479 votes, equivalent to 9.16% of the ballots cast.
In his capacity as a Member of Parliament, Suleman Adamu Sanid actively participates in parliamentary committees, contributing to the country's legislative processes. He serves as the Vice-Chairperson of the Local Government and Rural Development Committee, a member of the Poverty Reduction Strategy Committee, and a member of the Privileges Committee.
