Early life and education

He is a native of Kronum Afrancho in Ghana's Ashanti Region.He graduated from Kumasi's Opoku Ware School.He graduated with a Master of Science in Strategic Finance Management in 2007 from the University of Derby in the United Kingdom.The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), in Ghana, also awarded him a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Additionally, he holds an MIT Certificate in Entrepreneurship. Additionally, he has a KNUST PhD in Actuarial Science.

He oversees Zintex Portfolio Services Limited as CEO.He works as a consultant in finance and investments.

Prior to the 2020 elections, Amoah ran in the NPP primaries.In June 2020, he defeated incumbent lawmaker Kennedy Kwasi Kankam, who had ousted Richard Winfred Anane in the NPP primary elections of 2016. As a result, he won the Nhyiaeso Constituency primary.
