Stephanie Bice

Stephanie Irene Asady, later known as Stephanie Bice, was born on November 11, 1973, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her family background includes Iranian heritage from her father's side. She later pursued an education in marketing and computers, which would lay the groundwork for her career in business and politics.

In July 2013, Stephanie Bice was named Chairwoman of a legislative task force on oil and gas issues in Oklahoma. Her leadership on this task force highlighted her commitment to understanding the challenges and opportunities in energy production, aligning her legislative work with the state's major economic sectors.

Stephanie Bice was first elected to the Oklahoma State Senate on November 4, 2014, representing District 22. During her tenure, she focused on modernizing government regulations and improving the business climate in the state, and she became known for her work on reforming the laws governing alcohol sales in Oklahoma.

In May 2015, Stephanie Bice successfully led a bipartisan effort to reform Oklahoma's alcohol laws, which had been in place since Prohibition. On November 3, 2020, Stephanie Bice was elected as the U.S. Representative for Oklahoma's 5th congressional district, defeating the incumbent Democrat, Kendra Horn. Bice ran as a Republican and emphasized her experience in the Oklahoma State Senate and her focus on economic development and energy independence.

In February 2021, Stephanie Bice was appointed to the House Committee on Armed Services.
