Sola Fosudo

Hailing from Lagos State, Sola Fosudo pursued his passion for drama and the performing arts. Sola was born on March 18, 1958. He received formal training as a dramatist at Obafemi Awolowo University and later pursued a Master of Arts degree in drama at the University of Ibadan. These educational foundations laid the groundwork for Fosudo's subsequent success in the entertainment industry.

In addition to his artistic achievements, Sola Fosudo is an esteemed academic and educator. As a professor of Theatre Arts at Lagos State University, he has made significant contributions to the field of theater scholarship. He has held various leadership positions within the university, including serving as the Head of the Department of Theatre Arts. Fosudo's dedication to his craft and his commitment to nurturing budding talents led him to establish Centre Stage Productions, a theater company focused on discovering and supporting emerging artists.

Sola Fosudo's talents and contributions have garnered him numerous industry and academic accolades. Notable among these are the Legend of Nollywood Awards (LNA) and The Movie Awards (THEMA). His work has earned him a devoted following among home movie fans in Nigeria and across the continent.

Before the emergence of Nollywood, Sola Fosudo had already established himself as a talented actor, featuring in numerous stage productions, television soaps, and series. Notable appearances include the popular television series "Village Headmaster," "Sound of Destiny," "The Third Eye," and "Ripples," among others. Fosudo's career gained momentum with his involvement in critically acclaimed Nollywood movies such as "True Confession," "Glamour Girls I," "Rituals," "Strange Ordeal," and "Iyawo Alhaji." These performances catapulted him to household-name status within the Nigerian film industry.
