Serwaa Amihere

Serwaa Amihere was born on March 8, 1990, in Kumasi, Ghana, to her parents, Frank Yeboah and Lydia Tetteh. She grew up in Kumasi alongside her younger sister, Maame Gyamfuaa.

Serwaa's academic journey began at a local primary school in Kumasi, and she later attended Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High School, where her academic excellence shone. After completing her secondary education, she pursued her interest in banking and finance at the Methodist University College of Ghana, earning a degree in the field.

Despite her banking and finance background, Serwaa Amihere's passion for journalism led her to the media industry. She kickstarted her media career as a producer at GHOne TV shortly after graduating from university. Although she lacked prior media experience, her determination and talent propelled her forward. Her work as a producer paved the way for her transition into journalism.

Serwaa's initial role was as an entertainment and lifestyle enthusiast on GHOne TV's show, the Glitterati. However, she soon shifted her focus to news and current affairs, working with Nana Aba Anamoah on the award-winning current affairs show, State of Affairs. Her interest in women's issues and leadership stories allowed her to bring relevant stories to the forefront.

With dedication and hard work, Serwaa Amihere emerged as one of the leading news anchors on GHOne TV. Her professionalism and captivating on-screen presence caught the attention of viewers, earning her accolades and recognition. Notably, she made history as the first Ghanaian to win the Television Female Newscaster of the Year Award three times in a row at the prestigious Radio and Television Personality Awards.

Beyond her broadcasting career, Serwaa Amihere also represents two companies as a brand ambassador. She is the first brand ambassador of AMOR Contraceptive, advocating for women's reproductive health. Additionally, she represents OMH and Office & Co by SA, both fashion companies, reflecting her growing influence and involvement in Ghana's burgeoning fashion industry.
