Serwaa Amihere was born on March 8, 1990, in Kumasi, Ghana, to her parents, Frank Yeboah and Lydia Tetteh. She grew up in Kumasi alongside her younger sister, Maame Gyamfuaa.
Serwaa's academic journey began at a local primary school in Kumasi, and she later attended Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High School, where her academic excellence shone. After completing her secondary education, she pursued her interest in banking and finance at the Methodist University College of Ghana, earning a degree in the field.
Despite her banking and finance background, Serwaa Amihere's passion for journalism led her to the media industry. She kickstarted her media career as a producer at GHOne TV shortly after graduating from university. Although she lacked prior media experience, her determination and talent propelled her forward. However, she soon shifted her focus to news and current affairs, working with Nana Aba Anamoah on the award-winning current affairs show, State of Affairs. Her professionalism and captivating on-screen presence caught the attention of viewers, earning her accolades and recognition. Notably, she made history as the first Ghanaian to win the Television Female Newscaster of the Year Award three times in a row at the prestigious Radio and Television Personality Awards.

She is the first brand ambassador of AMOR Contraceptive, advocating for women's reproductive health.
