Selassie Ibrahim embarked on her acting journey during the 1990s, making her first appearance on screen in the film "My Sweetie." This marked a significant turning point in her career, as she shared the screen with renowned actors Grace Omaboe and Mc-Jordan Amatefio. In 2015, she ventured into the realm of movie production, releasing her inaugural film that showcased notable actors such as Nadia Buari, James Gardner, Desmond Elliot, and Roselyn Ngissah. Expanding her involvement in the industry, she took on the role of producer for the television series "Entrapped" in 2017, under the direction of Desmond Elliot. This series was broadcast on African Magic Showcase, EbonyLifeTV, and TV3 Network in Ghana.

Selassie released her latest film titled "40 Looks Good On You." The initial screening took place at the Silver Bird cinema and West Hill mall in Accra. The movie centers around a group of five best friends named Yaaba, Stacy, Mawusi, Ruth, and Araaba, who made a pact while in university to achieve success before turning 40. Determined to make their dreams come true, they were willing to go to extreme lengths, even if it meant living a life of deception. They meticulously devised plans for their relationships, careers, and overall lives. However, they encountered unexpected challenges that life threw at each of them. Nonetheless, they ultimately found solutions and overcame these obstacles. Directed by Pascal Amanfo, the film premiered on June 21, 2019.
