Born on the 28th of March, 1989, Sammy Gyamfi hails from Sunyani in the Bono Region of Ghana. He spent almost all his life in Kumasi.

Education

Gyamfi attended St. James Seminary and Senior High School, where he excelled academically. After completing his secondary education, he proceeded to study for his degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), he further at the same university where he earned his LLB degree. He advanced his studies at the Ghana School of Law in Accra and obtained his BL certificate and was subsequently called to the bar.

Sammy Gyamfi was very active and highly hailed in politics when he was in University. He joined the NDC tertiary group TEIN and became the president between 2011 to 2012. Because of his outspoken nature, the then Mayor Mr. Kojo Bonsu appointed him as the spokesperson and public relations officer for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) between 2012 to 2016.

In November 2018, Sammy Gyamfi contested for the National Communication Officer position in the National Democratic Congress (NDC), one of the biggest political parties in Ghana. He beat his contender Fred Agbenyo by 4,000 votes. He bagged 6,225 out of the 9,000 votes cast while Fred Agbenyo obtained 2,225 votes.
