Salma Mumin

Salma Mumin was born on December 14, 1989, in Wa, located in the Upper West Region of Ghana.

Mumin commenced her education at Odorkor 1 Primary School and later enrolled at Insaaniyya Senior Secondary School to further her education. However, driven by her passion for acting, Mumin decided to relocate to Accra, the vibrant capital city of Ghana, to pursue her dream career.

In 2007, Mumin made her remarkable screen debut in the movie "Passion and Soul," marking the beginning of her acting journey. Since then, she has delivered captivating performances in various films, including "Seduction," "No Apology," "College Girls," "Leave my Wife," "The Will," "No Man’s Land," "What My Wife Doesn’t Know," and "John and John." Notably, her breakthrough role came in the trilogy "I Love Your Husband" in 2009. She also showcased her acting prowess in the film "You May Kill the Bride" in 2016.

Beyond her on-screen accomplishments, Mumin ventured into movie production in 2015, with her debut movie titled "No Man's Land." Her creative contributions to the Ghanaian film industry have earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious Best International New Actress award at the 2014 Papyrus Magazine Screen Actors Awards and the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the 2019 Ghana Movie Awards.

Mumin's popularity extends beyond the silver screen, as her face graces billboards and TV commercials across Ghana. She has appeared in advertisements for prominent brands such as UniBank, Jumbo, and Electromart. Notably, her first TV commercial was for UniBank. Adding to her list of accomplishments, Mumin serves as the brand ambassador for Hollywood Nutrition Slim Smart.

In 2019, Mumin further expanded her creative endeavors by launching her clothing brand, Lure by Salma. Recently, she unveiled her latest collection, "The Evolution," featuring eight unique looks that encompass the brand's distinctive style. The collection showcases garments such as the Asibi Dress, Easy on the Eye Long Dress, Invasion Skirt, Leak Jumpsuit, Refined 2 Piece, Shield 2 Piece, Subtle 2 Piece, and Subtle Pants.

To celebrate the launch of "The Evolution," a grand event was organized at East Legon, drawing the presence of numerous celebrities and friends from the entertainment industry. Elikem Kumordzi, Abena Korkor, MzVee, Samira Yakubu, Pascal Amanfo, Juliet Ibrahim, Prince David Osei, Fella Makafui, Nikki Samonas, and many others graced the occasion, adding glamour and support to Mumin's thriving fashion venture.
