Richie Mensah

Richie Mensah was born on 17 May 1986 in Accra, Ghana, Richie's passion for music manifested at an early age. At just six years old, he captivated audiences alongside his brother and sister at local variety shows. However, it wasn't until his time at Achimota Senior High School that he decided to pursue a career in music, a decision that would ultimately shape his life's trajectory.

Richie's journey took a significant turn when he founded Lynx Entertainment in 2006, becoming the first artist signed to the record label. Over the years, Lynx Entertainment has grown to become a powerhouse in the Ghanaian music industry, nurturing and promoting talented artists. Notable names such as ASEM, OJ Blaq, Irene Logan, Eazzy, Zigi, and MzVee have been signed to the label, solidifying Lynx Entertainment's reputation for producing hit songs.

In 2008, Richie released his debut album, "All of Me," a musical masterpiece that introduced him as one of Ghana's brightest R&B stars. The album featured hit singles like "Frema," "When I Get You," and "Dirty Dance." This breakthrough not only earned him multiple award nominations but also established him as a sought-after record producer.

As a testament to his outstanding contributions to the Ghanaian music scene, Richie has received numerous accolades and awards. Notably, he won the "Producer of the Year" award at the 2009 and 2010 Ghana Music Awards, solidifying his position as a leading figure in the industry. His record label, Lynx Entertainment, also earned the prestigious "Record Label of the Year" award at the 2009 Ghana Music Awards.

Throughout his career, Richie has treated fans to a diverse range of musical experiences through his albums and singles. Albums like "UKNR" and singles such as "Yaaro" and "Changing Faces" have demonstrated his versatility and ability to connect with audiences across different genres.

Beyond his successful music career, Richie continues to invest in nurturing young talent through his "Lynx School of Arts," a performing arts school in Ghana. Furthermore, he has served as a mentor on MTN's Hitmaker, a prominent music talent show in Ghana. Richie's commitment to developing the next generation of artists showcases his dedication to the growth and sustainability of the Ghanaian music industry.
