Quophi Okyeame is a musician, radio and TV presenter
Quophi was born in Kumasi, Ghana, to the late Madam Harriet Quayson and Mr. Daniel Quophi Amoateng. He spent some time growing up in Kumasi and Accra. He presently hosts Sound Splash on TV Africa and works as a radio host at Hot FM, both in Accra. He is wed to Ghanaian television personality Stacy Amoateng, with whom he shares a child.
In 1990, Kofi Amoateng, who attended Methodist Dat Secondary School in Kumasi, ran across Kwame Nsiah Appau while both were attending the Kumasi Polytechnic after-hours.
Okyeame Quame (Quame Nsiah Appau) and Okyeame Quophi (Daniel Quophi Amoateng) make up Akyeame. Now that they are both solo artists. During a sabbatical where they focused on careers other than music, Quame was a DJ at Fox FM, 97.9, and Quophi at Luv FM, 99.5 (both in Kumasi). While assisting his brothers (Bradez) Kunta Kinte and Stone get into the hip-hop scene, Okyeame Quophi is also producing other artists and creating music videos through his Emklan entertainment organization
Daniel Quophi Amoateng, his real name, was born in Kumasi to the late Madam Harriet Quayson and Mr. Daniel Quophi Amoateng. He runs EMKLAN entertainment alongside his wife, TV personality Stacy Amoateng (of Music Music fame). The two have a child.
