Pierre Gasly

Pierre Gasly was born on February 7, 1996, in Rouen, France. He developed an early interest in motorsport and racing, coming from a family with a rich motorsport history. Following his interest, Gasly began karting competitively at the age of 10 and quickly rose through the ranks in various junior racing categories in France and Europe.

In 2016, Pierre Gasly expanded his racing experience by participating in the GP2 Series with the Prema Racing team. During this season, he showcased his potential by winning the 2016 GP2 Series championship, marking a significant achievement early in his career. This title played a crucial role in solidifying his reputation as a promising young driver in the motorsport world.

Pierre Gasly made his Formula 1 debut with the Toro Rosso team (now AlphaTauri) during the Malaysian Grand Prix in October 2017. Pierre Gasly achieved a memorable third-place finish at the iconic Monaco Grand Prix in 2021, driving for AlphaTauri. This podium finish was particularly significant as it demonstrated Gasly's consistency and skill in navigating one of the most challenging and prestigious circuits in Formula 1, marking the fourth podium of his career.

Amid speculation about his future, Pierre Gasly confirmed his stay at AlphaTauri for the 2023 season. The decision to extend Gasly’s contract reflected the team's confidence in his capabilities and commitment.
