Career

Pete Edochie, who began his career in radio broadcasting at the age of 20, eventually became a director and held various positions within the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) before leaving due to politicization of the FM station; he then transitioned into the movie industry after starring in "Things Fall Apart" and winning an international award, and he has since appeared in over 18 movies; however, in 2005, he and other actors were banned from filming for a year by the Actors Guild of Nigeria due to allegedly charging high fees because of their A-list celebrity status.

Pete Edochie, a native of Anambra State, is a well-known Nigerian actor married to Josephine Edochie, educated at various institutions including St. Patrick's and St. James Primary School and St. John's College, and he also studied at the School of Journalism and Television in England; he celebrated his 70th birthday in 2017, emphasizing the importance of taking life easy and planning purposefully while aging gracefully; he has six children, and in 2009, he was kidnapped but later released unharmed, and in September 2017, he supported the Wikimedia movement in Nigeria through a video promoting the use of Wikipedia among older generations
