Early life and career
Born on May 1, 1978, in Jimbale, Liwaal is a professional teacher with a degree in education obtained in 2013.
Politics
Liwaal, a member of the New Patriotic Party, served as the District Chief Executive for Bunkpurugu Yunyoo and later Yunyoo-Nasuan after being nominated by President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2017. He initially contested but lost the Yunyoo Constituency seat in 2016. In 2020, he won the parliamentary election with 12,103 votes (56.3%), defeating the incumbent Naabu Joseph Bipoba of the NDC who garnered 9177 votes (42.7%).
Committees
He holds positions as the vice chairperson of the Office of Profit Committee and a member of the Health Committee in Ghana's Eighth Parliament.
