Early Life and Education

Okechukwu Ukeje, the second child of Mr. and Mrs. Ukeje, was born on July 15, 1981, in Lagos State, Nigeria. Hailing from Umuahia in Abia State, he spent his formative years in Lagos. He completed his secondary education at the Federal Government College Ijanikin, Lagos, before enrolling at the University of Lagos, Yaba, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts.

Career Beginnings and Breakthrough

OC Ukeje's passion for acting surfaced during his first year at the University of Lagos when he landed a lead role in a stage play. Initially aspiring to be a musician, fate led him towards acting. He spent his first four years in the industry primarily involved in stage plays before venturing into television and film.

In 2007, Ukeje appeared in his first professional screen appearance in the movie "White Waters" directed by Izu Ojukwu, alongside renowned actresses Joke Silva and Rita Dominic. The film marked the beginning of his successful acting career. He received the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Most Promising Actor in 2008 and the City People's Award for Best New Act in 2010.
