Nii Ayikoi Otoo is a Ghanaian lawyer and politician. He served as Attorney General and Minister of Justice of Ghana in the John Agyekum Kufour administration.
Nii Ayikoi Otoo was born to E. K. A. Otoo and Emelia Otoo in the Ghanaian town of Mamprobi, which is part of the Greater Accra Region.He received his GCE Ordinary Level diploma while attending Ebenezer Secondary School in Accra. To attend Fijai Secondary School, he had to relocate to Sekondi in Ghana's Western Region.After earning his GCE Advanced Level diploma, he was accepted to the University of Ghana to pursue a legal education. Nii Ayikoi Otoo finished in 1979 and enrolled in the Ghana School of Law. In 1981, he received a call from the Ghana Bar.
After completing his obligatory year of national duty, attorney Ayikoi Otoo traveled to Nigeria. He was working for Adamafio & Associates, an Accra-based law firm, when he returned to Ghana, where he spent more than 20 years.He established Otoo & Associates Leo Chambers in Laterbiokorshie, Accra, in the early 2000s.He served as the Greater Accra Bar Association's secretary before becoming its president.[4] He collaborated on the National Council of the Ghana Bar Association with his esteemed coworker, Nana Akuffo-Addo.
President John Agyekum Kufour appointed Ayikoi Otoo as Attorney General and Minister of Justice in 2005 to succeed Papa Owusu-Ankomah.
Ayikoi Otoo is married to Patrica Otoo, with whom he has six children
