Nii Armah Ashitey is a Ghanaian lawyer and politician, serving as the former Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey and previously as Ghana's Minister for Employment and Labour Relations.

Ashietey attended school at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana's Ashanti Region's capital city, Kumasi. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in social sciences in 1975. After attending the Ghana School of Law, he later graduated in 1986 and became a barrister at law. Prior to entering politics, he served as the CEO of Ocerec Company Limited in Accra.
Ashitey served as the Tema Metropolitan Area's executive director. He joined the NDC and ran on their behalf in the December 2004 general election in Ghana, where he narrowly lost to Nii Adu Daku Mante of the New Patriotic Party.He ran for the same seat again four years later and won with 50.6% of the vote and a majority of 2,622 (4.3%) votes.
He served as the former minister of employment and labor relations for the government of Ghana and is currently a member of parliament for Korle Klottey.
He was chosen by President Mills to serve as the Greater Accra Region's regional minister in 2009. Even after Mills passed away, he remained in this role. John Dramani Mahama was chosen to serve as the new minister for employment and labor relations after he won the general election in Ghana in December 2012.
