Early life

Ngozi Ezeonu, originally from Ogbunike in Anambra State, was born in Owerri to Dennis and Ezenwanyi Ikpelue, and has six siblings; she pursued a journalism education at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and gained experience working for Radio Lagos and Eko FM before achieving fame as an actress

Career

Initially cast in younger roles, Ngozi Ezeonu gained recognition for her maternal roles, but her breakthrough came in 1994 when she portrayed Nkechi, the antagonist's best friend in the Igbo blockbuster Nneka the Pretty Serpent, followed by her role as Thelma, a high society mistress, in Glamour Girls the same year.
