On November 10, 1971, Nana Asante Bediatuo was born in Kumasi, Ghana. His father served as a judge on the supreme court, and he was born into a legal family. He grew up with a love for the law and justice because he comes from a family of attorneys.
Nana Asante Bediatuo earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ghana and was admitted to the bar in 1994 after attending the Ghana School of Law. He also holds a Master of Arts in International Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
Nana Asante Bediatuo started his career at the 18-year-old Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah legal company. He spent his time there working his way up to senior partner and developing a focus on corporate law. He was also a director for a number of businesses.
As of February 2017, Nana Asante Bediatuo served as the executive secretary to Nana Akufo-Addo, the president of the Republic of Ghana. He represents the president in this capacity as the chief legal and other advisor. Additionally, he oversees the execution of government policies and initiatives.
The Eminent Ghanaian Awards honored Nana Asante Bediatuo as one of the Top 50 Influential Personalities in Ghana in November 2020. He received recognition for his leadership in the Ghanaian administration as well as his service to the legal profession.
