Before entering politics, Anim served as the Project Manager at Wilhelm Construction Company Limited in Accra.
Anim became the Member of Parliament for Trobu Constituency on January 7, 2013, winning with 58.96% of the votes, and he was re-elected in 2016 for another four-year term.
