Mercy Bampo Addo, a Ghanaian diplomat. She has been Ghana's High Commissioner to Malta since July 2017, and she served as Deputy Minister and speechwriter for the Ghanaian President.
Bampo is a graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon, and has degrees in history with honors, a graduate diploma in journalism and communication, and a master's degree in governance and leadership.
She served as the Deputy Minister and speechwriter for the President of Ghana between 2003 and 2009.
She spent more than two decades working in public relations, first for Ghana's cocoa industry and then for the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration
Mercy Bampo Addo was appointed as Ghana's ambassador to Malta by Ghana's president, Nana Akufo-Addo, in July 2017. She was chosen to lead a number of diplomatic missions around the world along with 22 other accomplished Ghanaians.
Prof. Samuel Tetteh Addo, a professor of geography at the University of Ghana, is married to Mercy Bampo Addo. The couple has five kids.
