Political Career

At the age of 26 in July 2015, Mavis Nkansah Boadu clinched a significant victory by winning the New Patriotic Party's primaries. She triumphed over the then-incumbent Member of Parliament, the late Hennric David Yeboah, who had served for two terms before his defeat. Her success didn't stop there. In the 2016 General Election, she secured a resounding victory, becoming the Member of Parliament for the Afigya Sekyere East constituency. She obtained 41,694 votes, representing 80.44% of the total votes, as opposed to her closest contender, Awudu Salim of the National Democratic Congress, who garnered 10,141 votes, accounting for 19.56%.
