Martin Short

Martin Hayter Short was born on March 26, 1950, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He is the youngest of five children in his family. Short would go on to have a celebrated career in comedy, acting, and writing, known for his roles in television shows such as 'SCTV' and 'Saturday Night Live', as well as films like 'Three Amigos!' and 'Father of the Bride'.

Martin Short graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. During his time at university, Short developed an interest in acting and participated in school productions, which set the stage for his future career in entertainment.
