Lariba Zuweira Abudu is a Ghanaian politician who has been the deputy CEO of the Northern Development Authority since 2018 and also served as a Member of Parliament for Walewale constituency since the 2020 Ghanaian General Elections.
Born on May 12, 1966, in JANGA-FIO to Mrs. Abudu, an Educationist and a chief of Fio Traditional Area, she earned her first degree in Special Education in 2004 and her master's in Leadership and Development in 2015.
Abudu emerged victorious in the 2020 Ghanaian general election with 32,294 votes, accounting for 51.21% of the total votes, defeating Abdallah Abubakari of the National Democratic Congress and Ibrahim Mubarak of the National Democratic Party, who received 30,615 (48.55%) and 154 (0.24%) votes, respectively.
Nana Akuffo-Addo nominated Abudu as the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection and she currently holds the position as the Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Security.
