Ameyaw-Cheremeh, born on November 6, 1966, is from Jinijini, Brong Ahafo Region, Ghana. He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Public Administration from the University of Ghana and a Bachelor of Laws from the Ghana School of Law. Additionally, he graduated from Galilee College in Israel in 2008.

Ameyaw-Cheremeh was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Sunyani East constituency in the 2008 Ghanaian general elections, serving in the 5th parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana.
