Early life and Education

Kuranchie was born in Tepa, Ashanti Region, on August 5, 1969. For his LLB program, he attended Mountcrest University in Accra, the University of Ghana, Opoku Ware Secondary School, St. Mary's International School in Sunyani, Brong-Ahafo Region, and the University of Ghana.

He began his career as a journalist at the P&P entertainment publication before moving on to the Guide newspaper (now the Daily Guide). He was employed by The Ghanaian Chronicle as well. The Daily Searchlight was the paper he later founded.

He filed a lawsuit in June 2023, alleging that former president and current presidential contender John Dramani Mahama of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is ineligible to run in the 2024 elections. According to Mr. Kuranchie, the Supreme Court should rule that a president's tenure is four years long and that even after leaving office, he or she remains an employee of the government.
