Kathleen Addy

Kathleen Addy pursued her higher education at the prestigious University of Ghana, where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Realizing the power of effective communication in driving positive change, Addy further honed her skills by completing a Master's Degree in Communications from the University of Ghana School of Communications Studies.

In 2017, Kathleen Addy was appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo to serve as the Deputy Chairperson in Charge of Finance and Administration at the National Commission for Civic Education. This prominent position allows her to make a significant impact on Ghanaian society by fostering civic awareness and ensuring transparency in governance.

Kathleen Addy's dedication to promoting human rights and economic development extends beyond the borders of Ghana. Through her involvement in international trade, Addy has actively engaged in projects related to domestic violence, gender issues, and economic development. Her work on these global initiatives has further broadened her perspective and enhanced her ability to effect change on both local and international levels.

Before assuming her role at the National Commission for Civic Education, Kathleen Addy worked as the Afrobarometer Communications Manager at the Center for Democratic Development. This experience equipped her with valuable insights into the dynamics of public opinion research and communications strategies. Additionally, Addy collaborated with various civil society organizations in Ghana, contributing her expertise and passion to a wide range of projects.

During her tenure as a Research and Communications Officer at the Center for Policy Analysis, Kathleen Addy specifically focused on Women's Economic Empowerment and Economic Partnership agreements. Her efforts were directed towards advancing gender equality and fostering economic development. Through her work, Addy aimed to enhance the participation of women in decision-making processes and promote their rights in the realm of economic policies.
