She was born in Tsyome-Sabadu, Volta Region. She attended the University of Cape Coast where she studied Law and BEd in Management Studies.

she ran for and successfully won the NDC parliamentary seat representing the North Dayi Constituency in the Volta Region.

She received recognition from the Chiefs and residents of the North Dayi Constituency, who bestowed upon her the title "Mama Edzeame.

She is single and a Christian.
