Joseph Otsiman was born in Effia Kuma, Takoradi, on June 3, 1989.
Joseph attended Nana Brempong Basic and Junior High School before continuing his education at Takoradi Senior High School, where he pursued studies in Science. Furthering his academic pursuits, Otsiman enrolled at the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT), enhancing his knowledge in the field.
Otsiman's passion for acting ignited during his high school years when he participated in his first stage play. This experience sparked a deep interest in the craft, leading him to engage in numerous theatre productions. In 2006, he portrayed the role of the Storyteller in The Marriage of Anansewa theatrical tour in Ghana and the United Kingdom, organized by The Plymouth-Secondi Takoradi link and Theatre Royal (England).
Parallel to his acting endeavors, Otsiman pursued a career in radio presenting and DJing. From 2010 to 2012, he hosted Kyzz FM's Mega chart show and world chart show, captivating listeners with his engaging hosting style. Subsequently, he took on the role of a host for Aseda FM's multiple countdowns from 2012 to 2014. Currently, he is affiliated with Connect FM 97.1, a subsidiary of TV3 Ghana, where he continues to showcase his talent and connect with a broad audience.
In 2011, Joseph Otsiman's talent caught the attention of renowned figures in the film industry, including Tracy Moore, a Hollywood casting director, and Rockmond Dunbar, a Hollywood film director and actor. As a result, he was selected as one of the final six contestants in the maiden edition of "The Search for the Next African Hollywood Star," a prestigious competition that aimed to discover and promote African talent on a global scale.
In 2015, Joseph Otsiman made his mark on the silver screen with his compelling portrayal of Pastor John Moses in the feature film "The Cursed Ones," which earned him a nomination at the AMA Awards. Displaying his versatility as an actor, Otsiman starred as the Young Man in the comedy "Keteke" in 2017. Additionally, he played the title character, Kojo Bonsu, in the highly anticipated film "The Burial of Kojo," scheduled for release in 2018. Beyond acting, Otsiman is a co-founder of Greenyard Entertainment, a production house actively involved in creating short films and web series.
