Joseph Osei-Owusu's journey began in his hometown of Bekwai, where he received his early education. He continued his academic pursuits at Juaben Secondary School, where he completed his O-level education in 1981. His thirst for knowledge led him to Wenchi Secondary School, where he obtained his A-level qualification in 1983.

Further Education

Determined to excel in his chosen field, Osei-Owusu pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Classics and Law at the University of Ghana, graduating in 1987. He then attended the Ghana School of Law, where he earned his Barrister of Law (BL) qualification in 1989. His commitment to lifelong learning saw him acquire an Executive Master's degree in Governance and Leadership from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in 2007.

Legal Career

Osei-Owusu embarked on a distinguished legal career that spanned 29 years. He was called to the bar in 1990 and began his journey in the chambers of Yaw Barimah & Co. His legal acumen and dedication soon led him to join George Sarpong Legal Services, where he climbed the ranks to become the Assistant Head of Chambers. His career reached new heights when he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), a political appointment during the tenure of former President John Agyekum Kufour.

Joseph Osei-Owusu's political journey began in 2009 when he was elected as an MP with an impressive 86.06% of the total valid votes cast. Osei-Owusu's dedication to the welfare of his constituents and his expertise in legal matters earned him the trust of his constituents.
