Joseph Kofi Kowe Adda was a Ghanaian politician, former Member of Parliament, and former Minister for Aviation. He was also a Financial Economist and Management Consultant.
In Ghana's Upper East Region, in the Kassena-Nankana District, Joseph Adda was born in the city of Navrongo.After completing his secondary education at St. John's School in Sekondi, he studied politics and economics at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana, for four years from 1979 to 1982, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in both fields. He attended Columbia University in New York from 1982 to 1984 to pursue a Master's degree in International Affairs with a Finance and Banking concentration.
A management consultant and financial economist, Joseph Adda. In 1979, he served as an executive officer for the Ghanaian Ministry of Trade and Industry. He served as an intern research analyst at the Third World Trade Institute in New York, USA, from 1983 and 1984. He spent the following two years working at the Equitable Financial Service, Inc. in New Jersey, USA, as an account executive and management trainee.
In 2003, Adda was first elected to the parliament. Following the passing of the incumbent, John Achuliwor, he won the by-election for the Navrongo Central constituency of Ghana's Upper East Region.In the 2004 parliamentary election, he kept his seat. He was elected using the New Patriotic Party's slate.
He was a member of parliament and the aviation minister in President Akufo-Addo's New Patriotic Party administration. He also worked as a management consultant and financial economist.
At the Accra Legon Hospital in the early hours of Thursday, October 14, 2021, Adda passed away.
Adda had two kids and was married. He practiced Christianity. He was a Catholic.
