His professional journey has seen him serve as the CEO of Twenties Jog Company Limited in Sowutuom, Accra. He was also the sales manager for Twimbros Enterprise from 1996 to 2007 and worked as a nurse at Regis Care from 2008 to 2011.
As a proud member of the National Democratic Congress, Joseph Appiah Boateng has been actively involved in Ghana's political landscape. His dedication and contributions have made him an influential figure within the party.
In 2016, Joseph opted out of the parliamentary race due to a court ruling that prevented him from running because of a criminal case against him. This turn of events brought an unexpected twist to his political career, but it was not the end of his journey.
In the 2020 Ghanaian general election, Joseph Appiah Boateng made a triumphant return, winning the Afram Plains South Constituency parliamentary seat with 66.24% of the total votes cast. This victory reaffirmed his place in Ghanaian politics and his commitment to serving his constituents.
