Early life and education

He was born in Libreville, Gabon and raised in a family of eight children; he attended secondary school in Abuja before earning a diploma in Banking and Finance and a BSc in philosophy from the University of Jos, Plateau State.

Career

Jim Iyke, a prominent Nollywood actor, started his acting career in 2001 and became one of the highest paid actors in Nollywood by October 2013; he has also ventured into movie production with his company Untamed Productions and music with his record label Untamed Records, releasing his first album "Who Am I?" featuring notable Nigerian musicians.

Philanthropy

As the founder of the Jim Iyke Foundation for Children with Special Disabilities, he demonstrated his philanthropic efforts by visiting Kenya in December 2012 to support the Make a Change Campaign, a charity project initiated by Christopher Grey and Jamaican dancehall artist Cécile.
