James Agalga, a Ghanaian politician, represents the Builsa North Constituency in Ghana's Parliament and previously served as Deputy Minister for Interior under the John Mahama Administration.
On June 10, 1979, James was born in Chuchuliga, in Ghana's Upper East Region
He studied at the University of Ghana, where in 2002 he received his LLB Hons. In 2004, he also earned his B.L. from the Ghana School of Law. In 2018, he also earned a master's degree in conflict, peace, and security.
He served as Law Temple's managing partner. At the Center for Public Interest Law, he worked as an Associate. He was also the NDEZEB Law Consult's lawyer.
Under the John Mahama Administration, Agalga served as the deputy interior minister. He presently serves as the Defense and Interior Committee of Parliament's Deputy Ranking Member.
He is a member of parliament representing the Builsa North Constituency in the Upper East Region on the National Democratic Congress ticket and a member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana
He was a member of the Appointments Committee, the Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee, and the Members Holding Offices of Profit Committee.
