Dogboe, a British boxer, won the 2013 Amateur Boxing Association British lightweight title and qualified for the 2012 Olympics, where he controversially lost in the first round to Satoshi Shimizu of Japan despite being ahead on points in the first two rounds.

After an undefeated streak of 17-0, Dogboe won the WBO interim junior-featherweight title by defeating Cesar Juarez via fifth-round stoppage and later captured the full WBO junior-featherweight title by beating Jessie Magdaleno. He successfully defended his title with a first-round knockout against Hidenori Otake but ultimately lost the title to Emanuel Navarrete in December 2018 and suffered another defeat in their rematch in May 2019.
