Early Life and Education

Ini Edo was born on April 23, 1982 and grew up in Akwa Ibom alongside her three siblings, consisting of two sisters and a brother. Her parents, Lawrence and Eunice Jonathan, played significant roles in shaping her life. Her mother, a former teacher, instilled in Ini a passion for education, while her father served as a church official. Ini attended the Cornelia Connelly College in Calabar, where she laid the foundation for her future pursuits. After completing her education there, she furthered her studies at the University of Uyo, pursuing a diploma in theatre arts. In 2014, she received a scholarship to study law at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
