Club career
Born in Accra, Baba moved to Spain at an early age and joined RCD Mallorca's youth setup, eventually making his senior debut in 2015, and after achieving promotion with the club, he continued his career by joining Barakaldo CF on loan before returning to Mallorca and making his professional debut in La Liga in 2018.

In November 2019, Baba received his first call-up to the Ghana national team, making his full international debut in a 2-0 win against South Africa, and later participated in the 2021 African Cup of Nations where he suffered an injury during a match against Gabon.
