Career

Gyakie, born into a family of musicians, began her musical journey at a young age, joining her father in the studio at the age of eight. Influenced by artists like Asa and Omar Sterling, she released her debut single "Love is Pretty" in 2019, followed by the "Seed" EP in 2020, featuring the popular track "Forever" that topped music charts. Gyakie's success continued with a remix of "Forever" featuring Omah Lay, accolades such as the emerging woman of the year at the 2021 3Music Awards, and signing an international record deal. She was recognized as the Woman of the Year at the 3Music Awards 2022, and in 2022 she was featured on the Grammys' Herbal tea and white sofas interview series. Gyakie's musical journey continued with the release of her second EP titled "MY DIARY" in July 2022, featuring a collaboration with Nigerian musician Davido.

Gyakie spent her formative years in Kumasi, located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. She attended T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School in Kumasi and later pursued her undergraduate studies at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where she specialized in International Business.
