Guru gained recognition after collaborating with Sarkodie on his first mixtape video in 2009, and later found success with hit songs like "Lapaz Toyota" and "Karaoke"; although he received several award nominations and praise from fellow artists like Jidenna, he has not yet won major music awards, and in 2018, he released his album "Journey of Judah" featuring notable artists.
